Little Johnny Strikes Again

It’s class time, and the teacher decides to do something different—she’s going to have everyone share a little about their dads, spell his job, and say what he’d give the class if he were there.

First up, Marcy stands proudly and says, “My dad’s a banker. B-A-N-K-E-R. If he were here, he’d give us all a shiny new penny!”

The class claps for her, and the teacher asks, “Who’s next?”

Next up is Jeff, who stumbles through spelling “accountant.” “My dad’s an accountant. A-C… no wait, A-K… no…”

The teacher cuts him off, “Jeff, take a minute to think before you stand up, okay?”

At this point, Johnny, sensing his moment, raises his hand eagerly.

“Okay, Johnny, your turn,” says the teacher.

Johnny beams and says, “My dad’s a bookie. B-O-O-K-I-E. And if he were here, he’d give us all 20:1 odds that Jeff will never spell ‘accountant.’”

LOL!! Johnny’s always got the best lines. Hope that made you smile! Have an amazing day!
