Before going on stage, North stood between her parents, holding their hands, as they joined in a prayer circle. After the performance, both Kim and Kanye were there to celebrate with her. Kanye told North she did “so good,” and North shared that she was “praying every second” during the song to hit the right notes.
Their other children, 9-year-old Saint and 7-year-old Chicago, were also backstage after the performance, offering a rare look at how Kim and Kanye are co-parenting. Kim said it was a proud moment as a mom to see North having so much fun and not being nervous at all.

Since their 2021 split, co-parenting has been a somewhat contentious issue. In an earlier season of The Kardashians, as Kanye aired their business on social media, Kim chose to stay silent despite the things he said, even when he brought up her past sex tape. She believed that speaking out would be more damaging to the kids in the long run and that remaining silent was the best thing for them.
In the nearly four years since the divorce, Kim has adjusted to being a single mom of four (she and Kanye also share 5-year-old son Psalm). A source told PEOPLE in October that she’s “pretty much a single mom” as Kanye isn’t around much. Although she has some help, it’s still a lot of work for her to balance and coordinate everything as she focuses on her work and raising the kids.
New episodes of The Kardashians air Thursdays at 12 a.m. ET on Hulu.
