The president threatens to revoke Rosie O’Donnell’s citizenship, calling her a threat to humanity

President Donald Trump has called Rosie O’Donnell “a threat to humanity” and warned her.

The day before (July 12), the POTUS used Truth Social to send a message to the 63-year-old media star, calling the actress and comedian “not in the best interests” of the United States.

Trump is 79 years old. Trump, 79, said, “I’m seriously thinking about taking away Rosie’s citizenship because she is not good for our Great Country.” If they want her, she should stay in the great country of Ireland because she is a threat to humanity. GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES!
The President’s tweet talks about O’Donnell’s recent move to Ireland. O’Donnell moved to Ireland recently and says she did so because of Trump’s second inauguration in January 2025.
O’Donnell said that she thinks Trump has been after her for 20 years. During an interview on RTE’s Late Late Show, she said that their fight started after O’Donnell told the truth about him on a show called The View.

It all started when O’Donnell attacked Trump’s response to Miss USA Tara Conner’s underage drinking incident during The View’s Hot Topics segment in December 2006. O’Donnell began to doubt Trump’s moral authority as a result.

On Little House on the Prairie, O’Donnell continued by claiming that Trump is “not a self-made man” but rather a snake-oil salesman.

Then she made fun of Trump’s past marriages, saying, “[He] left his first wife and had an affair, then left his second wife and had an affair, and had children each time. He is the moral authority for 20-year-olds in America.” Donald, sit down and spin, my friend. I don’t like him.
During an interview, Trump called People a woman out of control and said he would take legal action against her. Trump said, “Rosie will regret what she said.” “Rosie’s a total loser. A true loser.
Trump said at the time that O’Donnell couldn’t make false claims about his bankruptcy: “You can’t make false claims.” Rosie will wish she hadn’t said what she did. I’m sure she’ll sue me for lying, which will be a lot of fun. Rosie is a total loser. A real loser. I can’t wait to get a lot of money from my sweet, fat little Rosie.

After that, the fight got worse. Over the years, Trump has attacked O’Donnell on social media many times and called her a “loser” after she got engaged in 2011. I feel bad for Rosie’s new boyfriend because his parents are heartbroken that their daughter is with @Rosie, a total loser, Trump tweeted at the time.
During the 2014 GOP primaries, Trump would later make fun of her directly. Trump famously said, “Only Rosie O’Donnell” when asked if it was okay to call women “fat pigs” and “slobs.”
O’Donnell has said that the harassment hurt her a lot. She told PEOPLE, “The Trump stuff was probably the most bullying I’ve ever been through, even as a child.” It was allowed by society and it was national.

When Trump was elected in 2016, O’Donnell was among his most outspoken critics. In 2018 and 2025, O’Donnell demonstrated outside the White House. She had plans to move to Ireland following Trump’s second inauguration.
There was anger after she left. When a reporter asked Irish Prime Minister Micheal Martin what he was thinking about letting O’Donnell into Ireland, Trump said, “Do you know who she is?” Not knowing is better.
O’Donnell said that he has been doing it for twenty years and that he is still not used to it every time he does.
