The “Sleeping Prince” of Saudi Arabia has d!ed. He had been in a coma for the last 20 years after a terrible vehicle accident.
According to the New York Post, Prince Al-Waleed bin Khaled Al-Saud was just 15 years old and studying to be a military cadet in London when he got into a terrible vehicle accident that caused a brain hemorrhage and internal bleeding.
Even though he got medical help right away, the injuries put him in a coma for good.
He was taken back to Saudi Arabia and put in the hospital at King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh, where he would stay for the rest of his life.
The prince did show some symptoms of bodily responsiveness from time to time, but regrettably he never fully woke up.
Prince Khaled bin Talal Al Saud was Prince Al-Waleed’s father. He never gave up hope that his son would get better. He famously turned off requests to take him off life support and stayed involved in his care for almost 20 years.

His father sent a very sad message on X, which used to be Twitter, quoting from the Quran: We grieve our beloved son, Prince Al-Waleed bin Khaled bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who d!ed today. We believe in Allah’s will and decree, and we are very sorrowful.
Prince Khaled was frequently spotted with his child, particularly when Al-Waleed’s younger siblings, Prince Saud and Prince Mohammed, were in the hospital. This demonstrated his deep concern for his family.
He requested the public to pray for his son’s healing and waking during one of these visits.
