Ingredients:
– 4 bone-in chicken thighs or drumsticks
– 1 cup buttermilk
– 1 tsp hot sauce (optional)
– 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 tsp paprika
– 1 tsp garlic powder
– 1 tsp onion powder
– 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
– Salt & pepper to taste
– 2–3 tbsp melted butter or cooking spray
Instructions:
1. Marinate Chicken: Mix buttermilk and hot sauce, add chicken, and marinate for 2 hours or overnight.
2. Preheat Oven: Set to 425°F (220°C) and grease a wire rack on a baking sheet.
3. Prepare Coating: Combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
4. Dredge Chicken: Remove from buttermilk, dredge in flour mixture, and press to coat.
5. Bake: Arrange chicken on wire rack, drizzle with melted butter or spray with cooking spray, and bake for 40–45 minutes.
